it’s the shoes

31 Aug

It’s the shoes that does it for me, every time. I was in the TKOE warehouse (okay, okay, corner of room where all the TKOE goodies sit) getting some orders out, when I came across a bag. Of shoes. Rosie’s shoes. Silver converse, black ones, patent pink ones, brown tweedy boots. We’d wanted to keep them. And she was back in the room with me, the instant I saw them. Her shoes. šŸ˜¦

So it’s been good that there’s been some really good fundraising things going on this weekend. There’s the Micro Mob print sale raising money for Teenage Cancer which features a TKOE Micro Mobster and some very famous people and lots of very lovely people. You can see/buy that from here http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/micromob

And Gracie the TKOE dog has been with us to view the Broome Farm cider festival which is raising money for Hope Support which includes some brilliant Hope people selling TKOE and Rocks for Rosie things. Look:

Cal sneaked in there. He drank some cider too, then ate a bag of sweets and got very giggly in the way only Cal can. And Gracie got cider spilled on her head which she took very well. She then ate a strangers burger. He took that well, probably due to the cider. Or he was an exceptionally nice person.

Now, if you want a hoody or a mug you need to get your order in very quickly because we are very nearly sold out and these are only limited lines. Students among you, buy a mug for those difficult essay days.

Sylv is plotting a couple of new things. šŸ™‚ So if you miss out, there will be different things to buy.

Those very personal reminders will always catch you unawares. But as time goes on there’ll be a smile to balance the sadness. Rosie’s shoes certainly need to be kept, homage to her unique and original style.
I feel very smug to have secured a hoodie and mug already. Hope that Hope did really well at the cider festival, and that said beverage helped the punters to part with their cash more readily than may otherwise have been the case.
And that your cold is better…x

Thank you for the lovely photos Jo! We had a great time at the weekend and it was wonderful doing the stall with you folks. šŸ™‚

I think Gracie made a few new friends too!

Love from all of us at Hope. xx
