It wasn’t us….

3 Mar

Okay – I know we have a reputation for things happening when we go places, but this really really was nothing to do with us this time.

Went to Minehead yesterday to stay the night at Cal’s hotel – he doesn’t own it of course. He’s learning hotel stuff. We met his Grandma and Grandad there. Cal wasn’t expecting us so was pretty surprised to see us at tea time. We went out, eventually found somewhere to eat, had a nice time, went back to the hotel.

This morning we were woken by the duty manager telling us there was no hot water. We then found crestfallen grandparents who had been awake all night following the discovery of a leaking boiler pouring water through their bathroom ceiling. We had NOTHING to do with it. But they did get a free night.

And we spent a chilly day in Porlock eating roast dinners and fish and chips until the birthday boy dismissed us because he had a party to go to with his friends. Growing up, growing up.

Interesting TKOE statistic – this blog is the 6,662,396 most popular website in the world. How many websites are there? Is this good?

The question on everyone’s lips is: Was he wearing his fish and chips t-shirt?

(I did ask him but he replied with a very vague answer)

Now that’s awkward. Could the muffin present giver reveal themselves – Yorkshire Mike?

Apparently there are 12.14 billion pages on the world wide web. So I think in the six millions is very good indeed. Someone else can do the maths!
Oh dear, not what you needed for a family get-together. Poor grandparents in particular. But hopefully you enjoyed it in parts and Cal sounds as though he’s having a whale of a time…x

Pages are different from sites though. I’m slightly concerned that your ranking starts with 666…
