Daylight Robbery

15 Nov

Pfst. Just found out about a good TKOE friend (and Rosie friend) G and her brother being burgled at a London hotel they were at. And the appalling treatment they had by management, because they were young. Are young, I mean. Inside job I reckon. Unleash the full force of Trip Advisor, Twitter and HM Constabulary – seems to be the appropriate response. Why are people so horrible to younger people?

Still, in less irritating news, another TKOE baby has been born. A baby girl. Congratulations Deborah (yes, Deborah’s gins and chutneys Deborah)

And we have a donation from Newent Community School but I can’t add it in yet because the TKOE online banking isn’t working so I don’t know how much it is . . .

And the TKOE puppies have appeared in a video with One Direction. Eh?

What a strange but pleasing collection of news. Apart from the robbery, that is. Not good news at all.

Jo xx

I’ve been trying to keep up with the blog whilst on holiday, and then yesterday I read the above.
Really dreadful how young people are treated, no need I say, we’re all human.
    Hurrah for Deborah and baby.
And so glad the funds are rising.

    Hi Jo
To say i was livid would be an understatement. I don’t understand what he was hoping to achieve by being so horrible and not only to G and H but to me, on the phone, and Jon when he went to get our money back.
Slightly good news is that H has been able to remotely lock down the laptop and if anyone uses it he can locate it on a map, although i have to say the police are not likely to launch a raid on that basis!
    I might though πŸ˜‰

babies are much better news- congrats to Deborah and great to hear about more donations.

What a nasty experience for G and her brother. Sadly I think this is a bit of a London thing, this sort of uncaring and unhelpful attitude seems to be rather common .Do name and shame wherever you can.
But lovely news of Deborah’s baby. Warmest congratulations – was the gin implicated at all? x
