Special days

22 Oct

Today is a very special day because my mum, Rosie’s grandma, is 80. 80!! We had a big family get together yesterday, to celebrate, and here’s a picture of a bouquet, with my mum in it somewhere. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!

All her grandchildren clubbed together and have bought her a glider flight. She’s always wanted to do one, apparently. Dad looked appalled.

In other news, Cal was very pleased to see us on Saturday. He’s got thinner and taller. Although the taller bit may be down to the tshirts which he’s been washing, drying and ironing himself, which no longer hang past his belt. He showed us round Minehead, took us to his favourite cafe for a hot chocolate and then took us to the cinema to see Madagascar 3 which he’s been waiting to see since the summer. He is a bit shocked that he doesn’t get a half term holiday, judging from his repeated texts about the issue. We also had sight of his Halloween outfit . . .

Oh, and whilst we’ve been swanning  around, TKOE supporters have raised another £242, so we only have £5682 to raise. By Jan 3rd. We can do it?

Belated 80th birthday celebrations to your Mum, Jo – and what a brilliant present. We will need details and a photo when she makes the flight of course.
Cal sounds as though he’s really got to grips with student life (despite no half term). All good 🙂 x

Happy birthday auntie Audrey. Enjoy the glider flight and the silence up there in the blue. No engine noise, it’s beautiful. Both Bert and I had a lesson. Bert being a natural apparently. I was too heavy handed and gave the instructor a few hairy moments!!!! Not to mention myself!!!!!!
Sounds lille Calum is enjoying his independence to a degree. Can’t wait to see the pics of Halloween especially the cauldron!!!

Belated happy birthday wishes to your Mum. How wonderful to be 80 and up for a glider flight…80 years young! I too am looking forward to seeing the halloween pics and wondering at the creativity it’l take for the cauldron ;). Yay to the fund raising :). There’s the zumbathon in November…need homemade cake to refuel the zumbathoners and raise a few pennies? x
