£9868. We are down to £9868. We only have to get another £9868 and we’ve reached the £20k challenge. Oh. My. Goodness.

Shailley’s backwax = £370 Kerrching!

Kings School Laud House charity fundraising = £330 Kerrching!

Rebecca and Rachel’s Race for Life running for Debbie and Rosie = £382 Kerrching!

Add on a few TKOE sales and it’s been a bumper week again.

Calls for high fives and yays and thank yous all round.

In other news – Amy, Rosie’s best friend, got a first in her second year degree exams – or a freaking first as she called it;

Sylvie has had her nose pierced again because it’s the end of term;

Cal fell into a lake during kayaking and thought it was really funny. He can swim but apparently he was laughing so much he had to be rescued (mind you, when I got home yesterday and asked him what he had been doing all day, he said ‘taking pills mummy’. Much concerned quizzing later, it turned out he’d gone out with Chris to collect a prescription.);

Bryan the devil kitten has stopped hiding under the sofa and now purrs;

Sylv has discovered that kittens don’t always use litter trays and when they are yours you have to do something about that;

and on Wednesday, Chris and I will have been married for a whole 25 years. How. Did. That. Happen?

Jo xx

    Brilliant. There’s something very satisfying about smashing through the halfway point, hopefully a rapid run now down to £0. Well done to everyone involved (and to Amy of course on her results). I think Shailley deserves an extra yay! for all the pain he went through and then all the itching when the hair grows back – double suffering there!
    There’s never a dull moment in the Kilburn household, is there? I’m a bit jealous of Sylvie with her extra piercing, always fancied a tiny diamond in my nose but the time was never quite right….
    And big congrats on the special anniversary. (There. Was. A. Wedding.)
    The sun is shining!!!! Have a great weekend. x

    Congratulations Amy!
    25 years…I remember that day. I’ve just about got over the trauma of being the bridesmaid taller than the bride AND the groom!

      Thanks for that.

    Can I add my congratulations for your 25 years? (We’re a little ahead of you, as we hit 40 years on July 22nd). You do wonder where the years go to when you hit a big anniversary, especially when it only seems like the day before yesterday. (And we all remember July 20th 2007, the day of the flood, and that’s five years ago already!)

    Great things happening in the Kilburn household!

    We are knee deep in dogs now, as the puppies are being weaned, and are already treble their birth weight.

      Certainly a celebratory week! Yay all! Well done Amy on your studious result. Happy 25th Anniversary to both of you for wednesday. We ourselves are following a little bit behind you at a whole 23 years (and 2 days!)…I dug out a wedding pic and stuck it on my fb page to amuse myself. Perhaps you too should post us a pic…dare you?! 😉 x

        We just might . . . . we all look very 80s.

    • Jo July 26, 2012 at 8:19 pm #

      And congratulations to you at 40 years!
