Welcome Liberty Rose

1 Jul

Look, look – a Team Kilburn baby named after Rosie. Isn’t she beautiful. Congratulations to Polly and the rest of her family.

Just a quick one this time, cos Chris and I are going to a poetry open mike thing tonight. We had breakfast in the company of three poets this morning, which was really good fun, and then Sylv and I went and handed out about 600 cups of water to the Race for Life 10k runners. We cheered on the Running for Rosie team, who finished in style, I believe. But no pictures because we were just too busy putting up gazebos and putting out cups and pouring out water and then taking it all down again.

Have to say, seeing all the messages to people is always sad and uplifting at the same time, but especially so this year. Rosie and I have done that course several times so she was definitely with us today.

I wonder how the scottish gig went? Can anyone tell us??

Jo xx

Will you be speaking in rhyming couplets all week after your intensive poetry fix today?
Well done to the Runners for Rosie and to you and Sylvie for your hydration support. x

After all the apprehensions it was alright on the night as they say. A great turn out with fantastic acts and a great afternoon was had by all. Pics and info on the way to you Jo. £1100 in total made and will be with you soon. A few of us were wearing our rocks for Rosie jewellery and had a few comments so did a bit of advertising. Lots of the raffle prizes were rocks for Rosie and some winner winner tea towels so many more people know about TKOE now.
Congratulations to Liberty Rose and her parents, beautiful.
