Down and up

11 Mar

Today’s a difficult day. Tomorrow is the 6 month anniversary.

Oh. I had to stop then for a minute because Chris came in.

And this blog is just going to change content completely now because he was  bearing a box. He said he was going to give it to me on another occasion (I think he meant our 25th wedding anniversary which is in July), but as I’d spent most of the afternoon weeping in Rosie’s room as he and Sylv doggedly went through stuff so that it can be decorated for Sylv to move into, he decided I could have it now.

And when I opened it, it was my grandmother’s eternity ring which he’s had completely renovated and mended and reengraved. What a husband and I’m proud to let you all know.

And here’s a new TKOE supporter too:

What a thoughtful thing to do, there’s nothing like a spring lamb and a piece of jewellery to lift the spirits.x x

That is lovely 🙂 Chris is a star. Glad to hear you are feeling a little better.

Weeping in Rosie’s room is OK, though. Remember that. Just do what you have got to do and know that we are all here for you.

You know every single one of us is thinking of you all and sending so much love; and we’d be there giving you all an all embracing hug if we could; so we’re doing it virtually instead.

What a gorgeous thing for Chris to do.

Weeping is allowed. What a lovely gift to receive, made even more special as Chris chose to give it to you when he felt you needed it most, what a lovely thing to do. Oh and nice lamb xx

Sending a HUGE HUG to you all. Remember we are all here for u. Life can be so cruel and unfair sometimes. If you need to shed a tear or two or probably quite a few, just do it. Do whatever u need to to get through each day. One day at a time my dear friend. What a lovely surprise from Chris, ten out of ten. My thoughts and love will be with you tomorrow. Xxx 

Thinking of you all today on the 6 month date. I hope you are all doing ok, as well as can be expected anyway. Like everyone else has said, it is ok to feel it and to have bad days – there is no ‘right way’ to act in this situation. you just have to feel it and do what is right for you.
Reading this blog has always made me realise that, actually, things aren’t that bad! I moan about work on a daily basis but, you know….there are more things to be worried about etc and you all remind me of that. Not in a bad way, but in a ‘make the most of every day’ way.
I hope the ring managed to cheer you up a wee bit – what a lovely thought and very special!
    Sending lots of love
    x

    What a wonderful husband!
My mum died last Sunday (4th) of ovarian cancer, so I have been thinking of you, you are all a real inspiration to me. Things have been reasonably ok for us so far, but I agree with your previous post about it being Spring. Not fair.

Hi, thinking of you lots, and hoping the ring cheered things up a bit. It’s a gorgeous sunny day here, though we have had the unfortunate news that our house sale has fallen through and are waiting to see what people in wings will offer….
6 months, not long, but Rosie would have been proud to think of all the things you’ve achieved, from going to the hotel she booked, to making money for TKOE. It isn’t fair but you will make out….
    love mags.

Sitting here thinking about six months…..it seems like forever and yet only a couple of days ago. I can’t imagine how it must feel for you, but I’m here always and thinking about you all and sending love and hugs. You’re doing amazing things and Ro would be so proud of you all. I was thinking about her on Saturday afternoon, wishing we’d spent more time just talking, cried for an hour then thought “If you have a bad day…..” and smiled.
Love you all – even you Chris….see you soon
    PS Cute lamb
PPS Sometimes Chris, you merit your git credentials – then other times, you are just splendid – well done:))
    xx
