It’s a beautiful early spring day here. Cal and I have just been to take some tulips down to Rosie’s grave – the church path is lined with tiny purple crocuses and looks so pretty. The graveyard is beginning to spruce itself up for spring too – there were quite a few new flowers, especially daffodils.

I always feel I must sound a bit mad when I talk about the graveyard, but it is so comforting that it seems to have a life of its own, and all the people in there look as though they get on well. Wierd, I know. But that’s how it feels to me, so I don’t care.

Bloodometer reading now = 9

And the 20k challenge only needs to raise another £15393, thanks to an educational focus today: Michelle’s OU book sales and the North Glos Headteachers. Thank you so much everyone.

We forgot pancakes on Tuesday.

Hi, we didn’t have pancakes either!! It’s beginning to look a bit crocus-y and daffodil-y here too….I love Spring and can’t wait to get the digging done and things planted!

Hey Jo, it’s not weird. when we visited over the Christmas break it was a glorious day – crisp and bright, and i just thought what a beautiful place, and yes comforting is the right word. we stayed quite a while. i intend going back soon to visit Rosie and take advantage of the contemplative air that surrounds the graveyard.

Rosie has been very much in my thoughts this week – i have been channelling her strength and determination to help me through an exceptionally tough week. but the good news is that i got the job and it’s a pay rise! a bit too tired to celebrate at the mo – will do at the weekend.

we didn’t have pancakes either. Robin went to see his mum and i was being tortured by my trainer – have you ever used a powerbag? really does make squats and lunges fun!!! yes indeedy!!!!!!

Congratulations on the job Andrea, definitely have a celebration at the weekend. But I have to say that I think the weirdest thing on this post is someone claiming that squats and lunges can be fun under any circumstances!

        Thanks Celia.
If you had seen me do them – you would have found them very funny indeed, especially the sumo style squats!!

I don’t think there’s anything strange at all about you finding the graveyard comforting, and It is a particularly lovely setting. Anything that you find helpful can only be good.
We never forget pancakes -ours were lovely (I didn’t make them). I ate rather a lot….
And isn’t the fundraising going brilliantly? £20k sounded such a lot just a matter of weeks ago, but is seeming much less challenging now.
Hope you have a good weekend. Love to you all. x
