Aloes

10 Dec

A man told me he liked the look of my aloes today.

I was running a TKOE stall at a Christmas Fair at the time; it made me laugh. Oh, I did have some aloes by the way. In case that sounded totally random.

There was a hilarious moment when one of the other stall holders realised that the wooly shawl she was wearing had shoplifted two bracelets from a neighbouring stall. They were hanging off the fringe. She was very confused but took them straight back.

And another man who seemed to be dressed as a Victorian gentleman, told me that it was a total outrage that decent dominoes had been turned into jewellery, and then swept off.

Raised quite a nice amount anyway, through some steady sales, so it was worth doing.

And here’s a nice message from Hope to all of TKOE and Team Kilburn

Never a dull moment! But very entertaining for your readers who don’t have these unusual experiences on such a regular basis, or access to a steady stream of eccentric characters. (Is it something to do with where you live, do you think?) Good to know that the Christmas Fair was worthwhile though.
Great film from Hope, another strand in Rosie’s legacy. Love to you all. x

Just watched the film, it’s a lovely message. Although I understand the Victorian gentleman’s view point of breaking up a set of dominoes, I like to think we are simply releasing said dominos from a life of domino slavery and giving it the opportunity to travel and see the world as an adornment and all for a good cause. 🙂

Free the dominoes, thats what I say……!
And even from the depths of galloping food poisoning (groaaannnnn……) the video made me smile….and sniffle a bit too……
      Love and hugs

I have to tell you all this. Cal made me a brilliant meringue birthday cake for yesterday’s family gathering, It was, quite simply, the best and most splendid meringue I’d ever seen. He whipped up cream and rasberries for a filling and the whole thing tasted delish! So delish that it rapidly disappeared, there was none left for seconds and considering how big it was and that there were several other puddings on offer just shows how fab it was. Cal coolly took the compliments in his stride.

So, I think we need a repeat of this one, Boxing Day maybe? Just to check it was that gorgeous you understand. If he doesn’t get into Foxes they won’t know what they are missing
