The Christmassy snow is entirely down to some unknown TKOE elves. It’s good, isn’t it. 🙂

Had a brilliant night last night at the Hope Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook event, where we had a TKOE stall. At one point there were 2ft high flames coming from 3 frying pans, followed by some giant sparklers. Cal went up and did some tasting (of food, not sparklers) and announced ‘it was great’ into the microphone.  Hope has got some brilliant stained glass boy and girl fairies for sale. And have you seen we are less than £100 pounds from the £4000 zumbathon target? We MUST be able to reach the £4k.

Cal’s a bit of a local celebrity at the moment. He’s on the front page of the Ledbury Reporter, advertising TKOE. Cal’s dealing calmly with being in the spotlight, which is good because on Thursday he is going back to Foxes Academy for an assessment day, for them to see if they think they can offer him a place for next September.

It’s been a bit of a funny week this week. We’ve been very busy, but feeling strange about Rosie. I had to go to something at Gloucester Hospital, which is the first time I’ve been back there. I was fine until someone was kind and then it was as though I’d gone through a time vortex back to September. And I think that’s what triggered all the up and down feelings again.

Now, if you are still struggling with that Christmas shopping, remember we have lots of things in the TKOE shop – which can be shipped worldwide. And, for local customers, if you can arrange collection, you can order Deborah’s jams, chutneys and gins,  through TKOE – just drop us an email. Every sale raises more money for TKOE to donate. Now, obviously, you need pictures and a list. I have these, but for some reason I can’t upload them in this post. So, I’m going to post this, consult with the elves, and hopefully, later today, you can see them.

Talking of doantions, Rosie’s New Year/birthday challenge this year was to raise £1000k a month. One way or another, that challenge will be smashed. So we are thinking of what challenge to set for 2012 on her 20th birthday on Jan 3rd.  What do you think?

      Congratulations! That’s great.
Um. Did you really mean you’d been raising “1000k per month? That’s 1 MILLION pounds. Or was the “k” a typo?

Oops. Those elves again – or perhaps next year’s challenge . . . How amazing would that be.

Love the snow. Well done elves. Hopefully there won’t be any outside of this page…
The Hope do sounds very lively, and Cal is a star – just like his sisters. Foxes Academy will be lucky to have him. And yay for reaching the £4k Hope target and Rosie’s challenge for 2011. Will try to think of some ideas for the 2012 challenge – she’s set us a tough act to follow.
There’s bound to be lots of ups and downs, and many people wouldn’t have had any ups at all by now. But you’re getting on with everything, all these great events raising lots of money and generally being the brilliant Team Kilburn that we know you to be. In Rosie’s words, ” if you have a bad day you have a bad day” and hopefully the next one will be better.
No easy routes through unfortunately. But so many good things to make you proud, and so much good being done as a result. Love to you all. x
