Christmas

11 Nov

Chris asked me what I wanted for Christmas this morning. We allow ourselves to mention it once we are in November. All I could think to answer was

Rosie

Because it’s her two month anniversary tomorrow, we’re going to write all the donation cheques.

There is a phrase that the Jews say which translates as:

“may her memory be a blessing”.

I wish I could give you your Christmas wish; I can’t, but you do have all the blessings I can bestow.

But you have Rosie, you always have had, and always will have. Maybe not physically (which is obviously what you want and meant) but you do have her, she’s your, she will forever be yours, ever, always. She’s the brightest star in the sky, the light that cannot be dimmed. She’s that because she will guide you forever. She will never, ever grow old.
As was said today when we were at the Cenotaph – age cannot wither her…
The first anniversaries are always the hardest. Hold on to your memories of Rosie, hold on to ever photo, ever recording, ever bit of every thing. She’ll always be with you.
    Big hugs
    Mic

Jo and Chris, we know exactly what you feel and I am sure Rosie would wish the same thing for Christmas too, but Rosie is always with you in spirit and lives through you in mind body and soul. No one would ever wish to be without such a lovely unique young lady that has brightened up so many peoples lives through her and the Kilburn family.

Good to hear you are going to celebrate Rosie by writing some cheques to her favourite charities, that will bring new and kind thoughts into the world thanks to Rosie, your family and the extended Kilburn family too.

Like you Jo, I wish I could bring back many friends, soldiers and family, especially is being Rememberance Weekend, this weekend is to celebrate all those lives lost and Rosie is right their with us fighting the war against cancer too.

Big hugs and special vibes to all the family, xxx

Dear Jo, that’s all you’ll ever want really. But her memory is very much alive far and wide, no real consolation to you at this point but it’s there in the background.
Sending you a big virtual hug. Rosie would be very proud be of the donations you’re making today to mark her two month anniversary, with more to come.
Thinking of you all and lots of love. x

    HI Jo

It suddenly hit me when i was in Starbucks yesterday, trying to get them to come along to the zumbathon, that it was the two month anniversary today – took my breath away. i really cannot begin to imagine what it must be like for you all.
i never met Rosie, but believe me, she’s here with me everyday – i think about her all the time – she remains my inspiration ( and i need a lot of that at the mo). Her memory is indeed a blessing.

    see you at the zumbathon
much loving kindness to you all
    xxx
