Yay!

1 Nov

Yay! for the Zumbathon next week. Read all about it here: http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/Zum-thing-Rosie-memory/story-13712135-detail/story.htmlΒ So come and shimmy or go and donate. There’s lots of lovely raffle prizes too.

Yay! for Joy’s Green pupil referral unit who have sold TKOE Christmas cards and other stuff and held a coffee morning and raised lots of lovely money for us to donate. Thanks everyone.

Yay! for Catherine’s hair cutting exploit – just send us the pics and I’ll put them up.Β Β This has prompted someone else to come up with another brilliant way to raise money but I can’t tell you about it yet which is really annoying but you’ll love it when I can tell you about it.

Boo! for not being able to find the Chris in the wig picture at the moment.

Yay! for all the men growing moustaches for Movember and raising money for testicular and prostate cancer. We can put some hairy pics on here if you send us some and we can watch the progress.

Yay! for pumpkin tealights on graves. They (yes, there’s more than one) are carved and will be placed solemnly in the right place before the weekend.

Yay! for Toby who came over to see us.

and Yay! for. Um. Oh, just Yay!

Jo

And Yay! for you and yours, all upbeat and positive. All good.
Great that the money keeps rolling in, it will be very rewarding to make those next donations.
A definite hairy theme running through the posts just now. Never a dull moment…
    Yay! x

    Yay indeed! Horray for yays.
Question for you Ledbury/Newent way people, have you ever been to the Roadmaker Inn? If so, what’s it like?

Haven’t been for a while, but the food was yummy and service was lovely – ex Ghurkas and their families. Wise to book! That reminds me, must go there again soon…

In the meantime yay to Jo for blogging and to team kilburn for keeping us focussed on fundraising ideas.

I like the roadmaker, it’s scrummy, but haven’t been for about a year as it’s a drive so someone has to opt out of drinking… πŸ™‚

Hello Jo and Yay! I have oodles of money here to give you and wondered how to do this. I can drop it off to you at home and go and say hello to Rosie as well… or put it in the bank and send you a cheque. At the moment it is sitting in a disposable beaker in a draw! If you can let me know on my email address janehenderson03@gmail.com we can sort it out πŸ™‚ Much love to you all x

For any readers who know my dear husband or indeed for those who don’t, this is the link to George’s ‘Movember’ fundraising page. This month he has pledged to forgo his street cred and grow the nerdiest moustache known to man in recognition and support for a good friend and also a cousin (in his 30s) both of whom are currently battling man cancers. Any donations to further awareness and to fund research would be greatly appreciated, regular progress updates will be posted, thank you x

Yay for Jo and Chris’ beautiful obituary for Rosie in today’s Guardian, with lovely pic : http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2011/nov/02/rosie-kilburn-obituary

I hope it brings lots of new people to boost funds via the online shop.

Just when I thought it was safe to put the tissues away….
Indeed lovely, Jo and Chris, and thank you Jonquil for posting the link for us non-Guardian readers. x

Thank you for posting this. I’m sure that’s a picture of Rosie before she came out on our Thorntons staff night out. She was so happy to finally be getting out and about and she looked so beautiful. Thank you for sharing xxx

    Yay to all!!

Hi Jo, as you were talking fund raising, I don’t know if this would be of any interest at such short notice. Hempsted Primary School are holding a Ladies Pamper Evening / Christmas event on Friday 25th November, I think that there might still be some stalls available. The charge is Β£10, but I would be happy to pay/donate this charge if you wanted to have a stall. The lady to contact is Jenny Shephard, Tel 07811 409202. xx

    Big YAY here πŸ™‚
I get home from having a great day photograohing wildlife (my sister bought me a pressie for my 50th) to a packet. I ask hubby what he’s ordered to which he replied, nothing but maybe it’s yours, maybe tea-towels.
Hurriedly open the packet – Winner, tea towels. Fab-u-lous darlings. And the usual wrapping standards.
    love you all xxxxx
