Up and about.

14 Aug

I managed to get out of bed, into my wheelchair and all the way to the living room! In the picture you can see the domino scarf, the crochet bag that Laura made me for my syringe driver and, also, you can see how hugely swollen and fat my tummy is. All in all, a busy day for me – some people from the acting summer school, that I went to last summer, came over to visit and that was really great. I feel less tired than I thought I would, but I didn’t have a good nights sleep because my oxygen tubes were hurting my ears.

The scarf looks awesome and I have emailed immediately for the pattern! It’s almost as brilliant as your smile. Have told the chickens about you being up and about and they have said that you are more than welcome to join them in the garden to look for worms when you are up to it … 🙂

Heya Rosie, scarf looks fab! I bet it’s nice to get out of bed for a bit even if it’s just to the living room 🙂 Glad you had a good day and I hope the hospital gave you some of those sponges to put on your ears below the tube so it doesn’t rub as much xxxx

Hi Roise, glad to see you felt well enough to get up and about abit and it will have done you good to have some friends around given you something different to talk and think about as well. Really like your scarf and funky cover can’t help thinking a pair of your earrings would have finished it all off!!!!!. People are always asking me where i got my key ring from and how much they like it. Well done Rosie ,keep going girl.xx

Good to see you managed to kick the others out the chair, love that scarf. I think if i tried knitting it, the dots would be holes 🙂 yes i am that good LOL or should that be bad? My Nan was a whizzo knitter but sadly i may be the spit image of her, i failed to inherit the ability to knit gene 😦

Good to see you’ve been up and about Rosie, I bet you can handle that chair better than your Dad! (I heard he’d crashed into the dining room wall). I remember you reversing our old tractor into a really tight space, difficult to believe it was the first time you’d driven it. Looks like the extra calories are helping so keep it up girl.

Its great to see you again and that you are home and upwardly mobile again. I have no internet access at moment so my comments will be sporadic and brief, but please know that my thoughts are still connected with you even when im not connected to the world wide web.

Keep fighting Rosie and keep improving, I hope you feel good

    Robin xx

Morning Rosie and Team Kilburn, not such a nice day here, but as we’re off shopping it doesn’t really affect us too much. Teaching this afternoon, so day pretty well planned!Hope you have an enjoyable day, with more sun than we have!
    love mags.

    • dmorgenstern August 16, 2011 at 2:51 pm #

Yey! Go you with the getting up. You’re looking great – lovely smile. My pressie has “been dispatched” and should be with you soon – as should I. Try not to run over any of Team Kilburn with that chair.

      Lots of love,

      Deborah
