Post 712

5 May

That’s right..This is my 712th post..can you believe that? Have you read all of them?

Robin – I did like Retrosies but there was something that wasn’t quite right about it, don’t hold a grudge! 🙂

Okay, well the new Teenage Cancer Trust Young Peoples Unit at the new Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham is AMAZING. Literally cannot wait until I’m ill enough to go in there. My pictures aren’t very good but hopefully I’m going to get some profesh ones sent through. I’ll show you the ones I took so you can get some idea.

The paint on the walls is metallic and those graphics you can see will move around and you can hold pictures up with them and stuff. There’s iPod docks in every section and specially designed chairs and sofa beds.

Graphics in the bathrooms behind the automatic showers.

All the windows have different frosted designs on them which just makes them cool features rather than a violation of your privacy.

Here’s the boys room – you can see the huge T.Vs for every bed!

There’s also an eden room, a study (with 10 laptops and wifi!), a kitchen and a visitors room. When I get the better photos I’ll show you because these ones really don’t show how great it is.

I’m really pleased I got invited and there was also a little info pack and my name was mentioned in the ‘Key Funders’ list!

Spoke to the Ledbury Reporter so there should be an article about TKOE next week.

Fantastic! but don’t you dare go getting ill enough to sample the facilities! There is so much I love about it and where possible they seem to have got away from the typical hospital look. Wow!

Hi Rosie, like the unit, but think you’re better off just looking at it rather than getting ill enough to go there!
