We went to Whitby today 🙂 There was a boat ride, a walk to the abbey, fish n chips at The Magpie Cafe and an ice cream all included.

This was the queue for The Magpie Cafe:

Worth it though.

I’m tired so it’s just pictures for you to look at today.

The submit option is back at http://high-fiver.tumblr.com so if you had any to add to make someone else feel good then go right ahead! Don’t forget to give yourself a high-five if you’re feeling low..and spread it around.

the queue is always that long- a popular place ( or should I say plaice?!!). My Mum lives over towards Helmsley. It’s beautiful up there. Enjoy.

Yeah I know – we always make a trip there when we come up here 🙂 We’ve also seen many places that are ‘voted the best fish n chip restaurants 2011’ but they don’t say what the area of voting is! May be the best fish n chip restaurant in that car park or whatever haha!

What a lovely day. Those fish and chips must be something special for people to queue like that. It’s something I really miss here – although there are ‘fish and chips’ available they bear little relation to the British version. (Think thick soggy batter and tasteless thin frozen chips and you get the idea.) You’ve certainly chosen the right week weather-wise too. x

It looks as if you’re having a glorious time. That’s great. I don’t know Whitby but I used to love Hutton Rudby when my brother lived there (40 years ago)
