Day 1.

19 Jul

My acting course is AMAZING. I love it. It is so good. All we did today was play games pretty much!! Ahahhh! It’s very physical though, so I had to sit out of some stuff because we did a very active warm up.

There is someone from America there and someone from Spain and someone from Ireland! They’ve travelled from all over! Altogether there is 12 of us and we were all in the same boat so everyone was equally shy and equally confident with each other. It got so hot that I had to take my wig off! I was a bit like errr should I? But then yeah who cares it’s way too hot!

I managed to navigate the train on my own and walked cross country to the college.

There was this one exercise which was about trust and learning to trust each other (because you al have to trust each other when you’re acting together) and what we had to do was go in groups of 6 and one person would stand in the middle and close their eyes and the rest of us would make a tight circle around them, then the person in the middle would lean onto the people and trust the people around the group to catch their weight and push them back in another direction. Get what I mean? So the person in the middle would have no control about holding themselves up and they would have to trust everyone else to not let them fall on the floor…. I went in the middle and it was really hard to not open your eyes.

Hah, I’ve had a comment from Gary from the tshirt printing company that I use (, to check that I’m okay – Isn’t that lovely? I definitely recommend using them for your tshirt needs!

I’m exhausted so I’m gonna have a shower then have another early night!

Glad you’re enjoying it. I love it when you start a group and no one knows anyone else so you’re all on a level plane.
Bags arrived today thank you. One for me and each of my three daughters – we love them 🙂

Hi, glad everything is going well on the acting course! You’re right, who cares whether you’re wearing a wig or not, its the PERSON that matters, and you’ve got an abundance of personality!!! I’m going to have my hair cut really short as soon as possible…i.e. when Dale’s available to do it! Its so much more manageable and much better for the hotter weather (though its raining at present). I’d actually thought of showing Dale your photo with short hair, taken on holiday, to demonstrate how short I wanted it!! Its about 2 and a half inches long now and when I’m working it all gets sweaty and horrid.
Hope today went just as well as yesterday, if not even better, love mags.
