My tongue

6 Dec

Feels really strange! Like there is some sort of fabric on it.. I can’t taste properly :(. It’s very strange. Haha!

I’m down to 7 pills today 🙂 And then tomorrow I think it’s only 1! And then I have to stay on 1 a day untill the end of the whole chemo is up – I think. Little bit worried that I will have to take it forever if that’s what my body is getting used too.. Get me? Hmm..It’s the biggest pill as well! And I have to take it first thing in the morning! Lovely wake-up.

I’m watching some American version of How to Look Good Naked.. It’s exactly what you would imagine it to be like – Very overly cheesy!

Does anyone have any dominoes that they would like to donate to TKOE?? Would be usefullll 🙂 Contact me on here or theknockoneffect@live.co.uk if you do :).

The website is looking so good! We just gotta sort out Paypal because their stupid automated system isn’t doing the job! They’re limiting our account and everything! Ahh!

Forgot to say! I’m on BBC Radio Gloucestershire tomorrow morning at aboutttt 7:15am – listen out for meee! 🙂 And then on BBC Inside Out West at 7:30pm – you can watch it on Iplayer for up to 7 days after if you don’t get it straight to your teeveeee.

Getting christmas tree todayyy – getting all christmassy ennit! Finished my present shopping and everything.

I think I’m getting a cough…That’s not good :/

Good luck with the Radio show in the morning Rosie, I know you will be great and allow people to realise what you and cancer is all about. I posted my comments about your advert and given our best wishes through a girl friend of yours who’s mother studies with the Open University like I do. Every OU student in our cancer support conference is wishing you well and good luck too.

As one cancer survivor to another, good luck and stay well.

    Chris,

All the best for tomorrow morning Rosie! Of course, we won’t be able to listen into Radio Gloucester over here, but we’ll try and watch you on the TV on Wed (that’s if I’m back from the hospital!!!) – otherwise …. I-Player… here we come!

We put our tree up yesterday …. unfortunately, ours has to be ‘fake’ (quite a good one though, I must admit), as Laurie is allergic to the ‘real’ thing!!! Just a few more sparkly lights to go up around the place and then we will feel quite ‘Christmasy’ too!

Thinking of you lots and lots …
    Love from us all…
    Deb x

You’ve probably seen there’s pages on losing taste on the Cancer Research site to do with the side effects of chemo. Also gives advice about how you can manage the situation, one american site suggests replacing white meat with red meat.. I know you’ll love that tip!!! 🙂

    Will be watching tomorrow xxx

Rosie, you are already on Radio Gloucestershire website ready for Monday, here is the link

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/gloucestershire/hi/tv_and_radio/

Click on the image of Rosie and it takes you to BBC 1 and details of Rosie’s pages too. Any one with the Internet can listen to Rosie as she is live on the air by the top right link of Radio Gloucestershire web page.

Rosie, well done making this public, people who have not experienced cancer either as the patient or their family need to wake up and realise what each of us go through fighting cancers and the side effects of treatments too.

Will drop you an order for a couple of t-shirts when the website goes live and PayPal is working.

PS. I am going for a urgent CAT Scan of my brain before Christmas, to see if my cancers (male breast and bone cancers) have gone secondary which is why I think everyone should wear Rosie’s t-shirts to raise everyone’s awareness young and old.

    Best of luck Rosie
    Chris, xxx
