These are surely the world’s first fundraising African land snails. They are raising money for TKOE’s Break a Record for Rosie.
Who’s Alan? You must remember Alan. He visited Rosie in August 2011 when she was ill. Go and look in the archives. He was also the first African Land Snail in TKOE’s knowledge to go visiting ill people. Pets as Therapy.

Why is he called Alan? Harrie (my daughter) was asked to look after Alan while his owners went on holiday for a few weeks. When they came back they asked if Harrie wanted to keep Alan as she was more interested in him than their children. We decided that we cud’t change his name. After having him for a few months we decided to take him to see Ro. Ro was quite taken with him. Harrie decided to get another snail, much to my surprise!!! She said had if they had some babies she wud try to sell them to raise some money for Ro. She thinks Ro is brilliant, a true role model. We now have lots of babies and over the next few weeks we will try to sell them (fingers crossed).
Yay! for Alan. A brilliant way to raise some TKOE funds. x
